Politicians, salespeople, every single great speaker down through the millennia know how to present an argument and win people over.

 

We know when someone is making a good job of a speech, though we don’t necessarily know why. King George V watched a newsreel of Adolf Hitler giving a speech in the mid-1930’s. When asked by one of his daughters what Hitler was saying, he famously said, “I don’t know but he’s saying it well”.

 

There’s an art to winning an argument and if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or manipulated but you can’t quite put your finger on why, listen to this because it will explain it all.
