(Part One) How to be in a Healthy, Loving Relationship, with Dr Thomas Jordan

Why do so many of us settle for unfulfilling relationships?

When we are children we dream of a fairytale wedding with a happy ever after, yet this couldn't be further from the reality. In the United States, 50% of people get divorced from their first marriage... but why?

“Often I hear phrases like “men always cheat” or “women are always controlling” from people who are always in relationships that reflect these statements i.e. the boyfriend/husband cheats or the girlfriends/wife is extremely controlling.

Beliefs become engrained into our subconscious through past experiences and overtime they become repeating patterns. These patterns cause breakups, divorce, toxic relationships and they make people afraid to go into more relationships.

Time and time again, relationship after relationship, we tend to give up hope, succumbing to negative beliefs and patterns that contribute to our relationships, or lack thereof. I certainly know many people in my life who always end up with the same type of person who ends up letting them down.”

"Awareness is a powerful tool. It's not just awareness, but knowledge of oneself. It's something that can be applied. In fact, I happen to believe the most important feature is the application after you become aware of something that's unhealthy"
