Owner and Creator of Art Houses by Kylie Mitchell
a multiple award-winning Accredited Building Designer, Interior Designer, and Artist who specializes in compact, sustainable, residential design.
She has been the Principle and lead designer of her own business for 15 years and working in the industry as a Designer for 20 years.
Kylie draws on her extensive creative skills to create unique homes that express and encapsulate her client’s physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs while extending their awareness and inclusion of sustainable design principles and products.
Kylie’s ultimate goal is to blend visual arts with Building Design to encourage and allow people to immerse themselves into architectural creative expression as an everyday living experience.
Kylie is a full member of the BDAA, a past chapter President, student mentor and, Policy Advisor within the BDAA.
As a two-time cancer survivor, she raises funds for the Olivier Newton-John Cancer Research and Wellness Centre through the sale of art.
Kylie has also authored 3 E-Books as guides and information for people looking to build or renovate their homes.
